Hi Everyone & welcome to my senior artist page!
Four of my favorite art pieces...
THe orange treeMedia: Acrylic paint, orange & black pastel
This art date originated from the "What's Your Color?" assignment. It required me to rank five rows of descriptive adjectives from "4" meaning most like me to "1" meaning least like me. My color was orange. Orange personalities are adventuresome, spontaneous, and courageous. This art date is one of my favorites because it represents myself as a vibrantly orange tree in the midst of other color personalities. |
FaithMedia: Acrylic paint, watercolor, & magazine clippings
This is by far my favorite art date! The assignment was to express yourself using mixed media. It allowed me to have fun creating a piece that represents my love and dedication to my faith. One aspect I love about this piece is the colorful shredded flowers decorated around the cross. The flower pieces add a bright, happy atmosphere to the artwork. I enjoyed being able to artistically express the most important aspect of my life while exploring different types of media. |
NC State bound!Media: Acrylic paint, pictures, cardboard, NC State flyer, copy of acceptance letter, & a printed map of the location of Prague
This assignment was completed for an Art Appreciation online class. The assignment was to describe an aspect of yourself by creating a cubist college. My cubist collage describes my future. I will attend NC State in the fall as a graphic design major. The top left picture embodies how my faith has encouraged me throughout high school and will continue to in the future. The map represents my plan to study abroad. This is one of my favorite art pieces in my sketchbook. I cannot wait to see what the future holds! |
Peyton's PassionsMedia: Acrylic paint & black sharpie
Wow...this project was most definitely the hardest assignment I've ever completed in my life. The purpose of this project was to create a photorealistic composition using unique objects to represent different experiences of my life. It not only strengthened my observation skills through shading, contour, and details but also my ability to apply a wide range of values. My Passions Project is my favorite project as well as my proudest accomplishment because it challenged various aspects of my artistic ability. |
My overall favorite memory of art class has to be the people. From Beginning art to Advanced art, I have formed many relationships with incredible artists that I would have otherwise never spoken to before. I love the people, the atmosphere, and of course my teacher, Mrs. Cross!
